Grace Lutheran Worship Schedule
Saturdays throughout the year
Service in our Parable Chapel at 5:00 p.m.
Holy Communion is served with parishioners gathered around the altar as the minister and assistant comes to each person. Our chapel is small and intimate, a favorite location for baptisms.
Sundays during the school year
Services are held in our Sanctuary. Holy Communion the first and the third Sunday, at all services.
- 7:15 a.m. traditional service
- 8:30 a.m. traditional service signed for the deaf and hard of hearing. This service is broadcast live on the radio, WEAQ 1150 AM; and also broadcast on television at 11:00 a.m. Channel 18 [cable channel 5] and re-broadcast Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. on cable channel 11.
- 11:00 a.m. a contemporary service
Wednesdays during the school year
A contemporary service with Holy Communion will begin at 6:20 p.m. & conclude at 7:00 p.m. in our Parable Chapel. Join us for a meal prior to the service, at 5:30 p.m. in our church parlors.
Wednesdays during the summer months, beginning the second week of June & concluding the last week of August
Contemporary services are held in our Chapel, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Holy Communion is served at each service. Once each month we have a cookout on our patio prior to the service.
Sundays during the summer months, Memorial Day to Labor Day
Communion is served on the first and third Sundays at all services.

- 10:30 a.m. contemporary service
Other Services
Other services held at Grace throughout the year include Healing Services, a traditional combined service with First Lutheran Church at Thanksgiving, a Christmas in July service, a Blessing of the Animals, and an occasional polka service.
- Taste of Grace- held the last Sunday of August at Owen Park. This service is filled with outstanding music, fellowship, and food! Grace Lutheran organizations and committees set up tables that are filled with information regarding what projects they will be working on. The Men of Grace provide the food and our ministers provide the Good News!
- Rally Day is the Sunday following Labor Day; this is the traditional kick-off of the Sunday school year.
- Reformation Sunday, celebrated near the end of October. Three-year olds and third grade students receive their Bibles. At the 11:00 a.m. service our ninth grade students celebrate their confirmation.
- Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Our joint service with First Lutheran Church, the site alternates between the two churches from year to year.
- Pentecost Celebration Fifty days after Easter. A celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit to the world- all services and the wearing of red is encouraged!
Advent Season
- Festival of Bells- an annual musical extravaganza featuring all choirs from our music ministry. This year on Saturday, December 12 at 3 p.m. and Sunday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday School Program will be December 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary
- Tuesday, December 15 at 11 a.m.- a service with Holy Communion is held in the church parlors for our senior members, followed by a luncheon. If transportation is needed, please contact the church office.
Christmas Eve Services
- 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Family services in the Sanctuary
- 10:30 p.m. Musical prelude in the Sanctuary, 11:00 p.m. worship includes candle light singing of Silent Night
Christmas Day Service
- 10:00 a.m. Traditional service in the Sanctuary with Holy Communion
Epiphany Service
- Epiphany Candlelight service on January 6,
at 6:20 p.m.
Lenten Season
- Fat Tuesday celebration.
Ash Wednesday
- 11:00 a.m. service in our Sanctuary with Holy Communion and ashes for those wishing to come forward; this service is followed by and soup and sandwich luncheon in the Memorial Assembly.
- 5:30 p.m. service in our Sanctuary with Holy Communion and ashes for those wishing to come forward
Wednesdays through Lent
- 11:00 a.m. service followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon
- 5:30 p.m. service followed by a meal served in the church parlors [not served on Ash Wednesday]
Holy Week Services
- Wednesday- a service for our senior members with Holy Communion, held in the church parlors with a meal following. Those needing rides are urged to contact the church office and transportation arrangements will be made.
Maundy Thursday
- 11:00 service in the Sanctuary with various members of the ministry staff and congregation depicting one of the disciples. Holy Communion is served.
- 7:00 p.m. service in the Sanctuary with ‘The Living Last Supper’ depicted by members of the congregation and ministry staff. Holy Communion is served and those students who have taken classes and are ready will receive their first Communion.
Good Friday Services
- 12 noon - 3:00 p.m., Grace Lutheran is the only Eau Claire church that continues to offer the traditional three hour service featuring the Seven Last Words of Christ service. Held in our Sanctuary with a different minister offering a short message every half hour. Concludes at 3:00 p.m.
- Friday night Tenebrae service- held at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Parishioners and ministry staff remove the Christ candle and cross as we leave the church in darkness.
- Saturday Easter Vigil service in our Parable Chapel- Communion is served

- Sunrise service in the Sanctuary
- 8:30 a.m. Festival service
