Director of Education
We consider it a privilege to be able to assist you in the Christian Education of your child.
The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We take the Bible’s teaching seriously and believe we are only a part of your child’s Christian education. It is our sincere hope and desire that you will make Sunday school a priority in your child’s life and will strive to bring them each Sunday.

Sunday School
We use a variety of fun learning activities while keepin the message at the heart of the lesson - which is that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
Older children are discovering what the Bible says about popularity - success - failure - friendship - rules and much more.
Our goal for a young person coming to our classes is to experience the love of God and to share it with others.

Milestone Ministry segments will be held apart from the regular Sunday School learning times and parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their child.
Vacation Bible School
Was held at Grace Lutheran this year with students from both Grace and First Lutheran. An excellant time was had by all, in fact we are planning to do it again next year!
Receiving Bibles
At baptism, we promise to place in our children's hands word of the Lord. Three year olds receive their first Children's Bible as they enter Sunday school. When they reach third grade they are given a Study Bible as they begin the school year. This year third grade students will receive their Bibles at the 8:30 service on Sept. 19 & three year olds will receive their Bibles at the 10:45 service on Sept. 20.
Fifth Grade Communion
Our Fifth Grade students and parents receive instruction in the Sacrament of Holy Communion during a series of special classes. At the end of instruction the Fifth Grade class receives their first Communion at the Maundy Thursday service, next year on April 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Luther Park
Is a wonderful Bible Camp in Chetek where children can play and learn more about God in an outdoor setting. The camp has different times scheduled though the year for all ages. Check our Sunday School Calendar for the dates we will be going. Check out their web site for more information.
Confirmation
Our 7th and 8th graders meet on Wednesday evenings. We strongly encourage students & their parents to join us for a meal at 5:30 pm followed by a required, short, opening service from 6:20-7:00 pm in our Chapel. After our opening, students will break into small groups with an adult leader, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
Topics this year include:
9th Graders will be confirmed on Reformation Sunday, which is October 31 this year.
