What to expect
All are welcome!
For members of Grace Lutheran Church, worship is at the center of our life of faith. God’s word, water, bread and prayer nurtures our faith and unites us in celebration. It also engages us in thoughtful dialogue and helps us grow in mission.
Worship begins at 10:00 on Sunday mornings.
Ushers will be happy to answer any questions.
The church bulletin explains the order of the service and congregational responses. Ushers will provide you with a copy when you are seated.
Visitors are not asked to stand or to introduce themselves during the service. There is a "Sharing of the Peace" at one point in the service where people in the congregation greet those around them.
Central to our worship life is the presence of God through word and sacrament, Holy Communion.
Communion is served every Sunday, typically by intinction where bread is offered and is dipped into a chalice of wine. Gluten-free bread is used and both wine and grape juice is used and gluten free wafers are available. All are welcome.
Children may stay with parents. There are play bags available outside of the sanctuary doors containing books, puzzles and other quiet activities. On the second and fourth Sundays, children are invited to attend Sunday School.
Hearing assists may be requested from ushers, and the sanctuary is handicap accessible from the 2nd Avenue entrance. Rest rooms are also accessible.
Coffee and refreshments are served prior to worship at 9:00 a.m. in the first floor Memorial Assembly.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
